Hi, I’m Sam, a.k.a. Shortie.  I grew up here in Belmont North, (just up the road from the factory), and always knew I wanted to be a shaper.  I started out sweeping floors in shaping bays when I was just a grommie, and eventually learned enough to shape my own designs, first calling them Aytdog Surfboards. 

After doing some extensive traveling and surfing throughout Mexico, Central America, and Indonesia in my earlier adult years, I’ve since settled down in my hometown to establish roots.  I now live in our tiny home I built for my beautiful daughter and partner, and am mastering my craft under the guidance and scrutiny of Peter Mccabe and Paul Parks over at the PPP factory.
